Linda Rigby, President of the Shiner Heritage Quilters, hands the keys of the special quilt car to Marilyn Parker, President of the Shiner Chamber of Commerce for "a spin around the town."

The Shiner Heritage Quilters are sponsoring a quilt/needle art show on Friday, March 20th, (9 - 6) and Saturday, March 21st, (9 - 4) at the First United Methodist Church Activity Center. The show includes quilts, needle art, a special Bible-themed exhibit, vendors, the Scissors Guy, quilting demonstrations, a donation quilt, a challenge block display and food/drink concession. Admission is $3.00 each day.
The Shiner Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a trade fair located along the main street of downtown Shiner on Saturday, March 21st. A citywide garage sale is also planned. Call Bernice Jalufka, 594-4180, for additional information.
The Edwin Wolters Museum, 306 S. Ave. I, will have an "airing of the quilts" on Friday, March 20th (8 - 5) and Saturday, March 21st (8 -4). The beautiful and historic antique quilts and needle art collections, plus bonnets and aprons will be featured.
Shiner will be bursting with activities for the first day of spring. You're going to love it!
