2009 Shiner, Texas, Quilting Show | The Scissor Guy

Well, I spoke directly to The Scissor Guy, Hayward Erwin, and he said he sharpens a lot of things other than all manner of scissors.
  • Pinking Shears
  • Knives - all kinds
  • Some yard & lawn implements, such as hedge clippers, etc.
Unfortunately, he doesn't do chain saws. But I suppose they aren't used much in the sewing, quilting, curtain, or upholstery businesses ... at least not in their manufacture.[weak grin]

Anyway, he will be there all day long on both days of the Shiner Heritage 2009 Quilt Show,“Spring Into Quilting,” March 20-21, so bring anything you've got that needs a sharp edge.

By the way, he says he is able to get everything done during the shows, but will mail any back to you, if he isn't able to handle the work load, so don't worry about overloading Hayward.

At last ... I can get my hunting and fishing knives sharpened professionally! That alone is worth the trip to the Shiner Heritage Quilt Show!
